This is what October taught me:
My mind wants diligence. My soul wants rest. And I don’t know how to marry the two.
Candles and lamps are the key to coziness when you live in an apartment home. Heck, they make any space more cozy.
Saying yes to everything that comes my way has burnt me out way too many times, but it’s so hard for me to change. I need to be more selective, even if it means saying ‘no' to things I enjoy, for the sake of saying ‘yes’ to the things that bring me life.
Everything good in my life is there because of the redemptive nature of my Father, not by my hustling or striving.
“And God will supply all your needs according to His riches.” |Philippians 4:19|
I’m learning that I can’t accidentally stumble into stillness and order. They need to be integrated and prioritized each day or they will not be present.
My Father’s timing is perfect, and His ways are good.
This is what October taught me.
